The children observed the growth cycle of a chicken over the past two weeks. They tried to see the hatching of a fully-developed chick, the little bird’s attempts to dry and warm itself after hatching, its desire to live. The children also observed its growth process. The grown chicks were petted by the children and were given names by them. The children learned about the life cycle of a chicken, names of a chick’s body parts and learned new information about nature’s living creatures.
