Klaipeda Lyceum is a Candidate School for the Middle Years Programme. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School.   • Klaipėda Lyceum was established in 1995. The school ranks among the top three schools in Lithuania, is a leader among the best Lithuanian gymnasiums, and has been consistently ranked among the best schools in Lithuania for many years.

ADMISSION TO PRIMARY GRADES (1–4)

STAGES OF ADMISSION:

  • registration (online);
  • test of knowledge, skills and understanding;
  • informing the learner's parents about the test results;
  • motivational interview with the school principal, with the child present;
  • announcement of results;
  • applying for and signing the contract

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

  • application;
  • copy of the child's birth certificate or passport;
  • two photos of the child for documents;
  • when a new pupil is admitted, the annual preventive health certificate is visible in the electronic Child Health Monitoring Information System;
  • Achievement and progress assessment from the former school.
  • documents of academic achievements (from competitions, championships, etc.)
  • motivational letter (for those applying for a Klaipėda Lyceum stipend, participating in the social project)

THE TUITION PRICE INCLUDES:

  • full-time occupation and education of the child (from 7.30 to 17.30);
  • lessons according to the primary education curriculum;
  • additional lessons: English, Chess, Theatre, Dance, Engineering, Mathematical Logic, Informatics, Second Foreign Language (from Year 4). Additional lessons can be substituted as needed;
  • regular tutorials in the core subjects according to the timetable (before and after classes);
  • classes based on enhanced curricula;
  • individual programmes for gifted and talented children;
  • individual and group counselling when a learner returns to school after illness or has temporary learning difficulties;
  • research activities;
  • homework preparation;
  • extra activities and clubs (chess, theatre, dance, art, mobile games, English, IT, engineering, young scientists);
  • Speech and language therapy consultation to assess the child's need for speech therapy support;
  • psychological counselling (3-5 sessions per child per year);
  • individual interviews with teachers and child support professionals.

PRIMARY EDUCATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE (PYP) CURRICULUM (LITHUANIAN-ENGLISH) TUITION FEE IN 2022–2023

  • Investing in your child's education: 620 EUR /month. + International Baccalaureate programme fee for Grades 1-4: 100 EUR /month

OTHER FEES

  • There is a one-off entrance fee for Klaipėda Lyceum. The entrance fee is EUR 500 for pupils who have completed their preparatory classes at the Little Klaipėda Lyceum. For learners coming to Klaipėda Lyceum from other educational institutions – EUR 1000. Once the entrance fee has been paid, the pupil is placed on the school's roll. The entrance fee is a one-off fee and is not refundable. It includes admission procedures, textbooks, curricula, preparation of the learner's workplace.

  • Childcare from 17.30 to 18.30 (monthly fee 50 EUR)
  • Individual educational measures (the list must be submitted before the new academic year): foreign language teaching materials, exercise books for various subjects, clothing for physical education and choreography classes, etc.
  • Theme excursions (transport, entrance tickets)
  • Speech and language therapy sessions on request
  • Health Improvement Programme activities: massages, individual physiotherapy, inhalations, Bioptron therapy (on request)
  • Entry fees for certain competitions, Olympiads, contests
  • Additional groups are organised as needed: karate, ballet, workshops, robotics, ceramics, singing, playing a musical instrument (piano, violin, ukulele)

Tuition discounts

  • If one or more children of the same family are enrolled in the Klaipėda Lyceum and pay tuition fees, the enrolment fee and the annual tuition fee are reduced by 20% for the second and subsequent children.
  • If a child attending the Klaipėda Lyceum receives a Lyceum scholarship, a second child of the same family is not eligible for the tuition discount.
  • The tuition fee may be reduced at the parents' request due to significant financial circumstances of the family. The reduction of tuition fees is considered by a special Lyceum commission.
