November 26th turned into a true day of discovery for the 1st–2nd year students in the engineering and social sciences tracks. The PRO Day journey through the world of professions began with the everyday work of legal experts and led all the way to the most modern engineering behind the scenes.
At the Klaipėda District Court, the students observed a real civil case and had the opportunity to learn how the legal system works. At a law firm, they were welcomed with a discussion about the specifics of a lawyer’s work and the essential skills required in the profession. Klaipėda University impressed them with insights into management study opportunities and the diversity of academic fields. During a meeting organized by the Limarko Group, students were introduced to complex decision-making processes and principles of corporate governance. The world of engineering became much clearer when the students saw how real products are created with the help of innovation at the company VMG Technics.
The day flew by in an instant. The students returned with the understanding that career paths in both engineering and the social sciences can be unexpected, diverse, and full of challenges — and that the most important qualities on this journey are curiosity, responsibility, and creativity.
