For the second year in a row, the Martynas Mažvydas Progymnasium in Klaipėda has been hosting the poetry recitation contest in a second foreign language, “Flowing Verses.” The contest is intended for students in grades 5–8. This year, 20 students from various schools in Klaipėda took part. Verses flowed in French, German, Spanish, and Russian. The students recited poetry and watched each other’s performances.
N. Vaisman, a student of the Lyceum’s 6 MYP A class, recited in French and stood out with her expressive reading, excellent pronunciation, and artistry. She was awarded 1st place! Congratulations — we are proud of her!
