On Friday afternoon, Klaipėda Lyceum was filled with bustle, good spirits, and the delicious aroma of freshly baked waffles – the school was buzzing with the Kaziukas Fair. The children had prepared for the fair with all their hearts: the tables were decorated with colorful baked goods, handmade crafts, beautiful flowers, and bright balloons, while those who were thirsty could even refresh themselves with homemade kissel.
The Kaziukas Fair is not only a fun tradition but also a valuable experience for students. Here they learn communication and entrepreneurship while confidently trying out their trading skills. Some invited buyers to their tables saying, “Would you like to buy this? It’s the last one!”, while others, when asked for a discount for buying several items, jokingly replied, “What, don’t you have more?” – and everything ended with smiles and a successful deal.
The text, photos, and video material were prepared by Klaipėda Lyceum intern and journalism student Rita Jašinskė.
