Students of Klaipėda Lyceum Participated in the XI National Mathematics Research Conference

On December 4, 2025, Klaipėda Baltijos Gymnasium hosted the XI National Students’ Mathematics Research Conference “A Bridge of Knowledge and Ideas: Students’ Experiences and Discoveries.” Klaipėda Lyceum students also presented their work at the event.

Milda Einikytė delivered a presentation titled “Percentages in My Life,” showing how percentages are used in everyday situations and why understanding them is essential. Supervisor – expert mathematics teacher Snieguolė Stakvilionė.

Evenas Čeponas and Dominikas Norkus presented their research “Reflections of Chaos Theory in Fractals,” exploring the relationship between chaotic systems and fractal structures, as well as demonstrating fractal modeling. Supervisor – expert mathematics teacher Rasa Karapetian.

Eleonora Kavoliūnaitė introduced her study “The Problematic of Tiling a Plane with Mosaics,” analyzing tessellation, symmetry, and the four-color theorem, along with practical work using Platonic solids. Supervisor – expert mathematics teacher Rasa Karapetian.

The conference highlighted students’ creativity, analytical thinking, and ability to apply mathematical ideas to real-world contexts.
