From an early age, we learn to understand our feelings and emotions, to listen and hear what they are trying to tell us. We practice self-regulation and calming techniques. When we need help, we turn to adults who can support us.
World Mental Health Day reminds us how important it is to care for ourselves and for others — because we care about how you feel.
By creating the “Feelings and Emotions Plant,” we strengthened our class community, developed emotional literacy, and encouraged open conversations about emotions — without shame or fear.
