On a snowy Friday morning, the hearts of children and teachers at the Little Klaipėda Lyceum were warmed by their love for Lithuania. Each child held a small tricolor heart on a stick, which they had made themselves or with the help of their teachers, parents, or siblings. The children solemnly sang the national anthem and watched their schoolmates’ performances. Songs filled the air, melodies of musical instruments were heard, cheerful dances took place, and beautiful poems were recited. All of this created a magical festive atmosphere and allowed everyone to feel that even in these small hearts lives a great love for their country.
The text, photographs, and video material were prepared by Klaipėda Lyceum intern and journalism student Rita Jašinskė.
