The 2026–2027 school year at Klaipėdos Licėjus is the Year of Social Responsibility. Let’s begin it by showing care for others!
This year, during the September 1 celebration, we invite the Klaipėdos Licėjus community to support the Klaipėda animal rescue organization „Linksmosios pėdutės“ by donating food.
At the moment, dozens of animals at the shelter are waiting for new homes and loving families. Every one of them deserves a second chance. Every day, the shelter needs food and essential care supplies to look after its animals, so every donated package of food makes a huge difference.
How can we help?
During the celebration, you will find a specially marked donation point in the inner courtyard of Klaipėdos Licėjus, where anyone who wishes can leave food for the homeless animals currently cared for by „Linksmosios pėdutės“.
Important!
Not all types of food are suitable for the shelter animals, so we kindly ask you to bring only the following:
- Dog food: Josera SENSIPLUS, Royal Canin ANALLERGENIC;
- Cat food: Royal Canin SENSIBLE, Royal Canin KITTEN;
- Wet food for dogs and cats: GASTROINTESTINAL, RECOVERY (it is important that these are high-quality canned foods, as they are intended for animals recovering from illness);
- Cat litter is also very much needed.

Not Only Support, but Also an Opportunity to Foster
The founder of the organization, Simona Šakinytė, will also be taking part in the festive part of the celebration together with her pets. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet the animals in her care, learn more about volunteering and responsible pet ownership, and, if you are willing and able, become a foster family for one of the shelter animals.
We invite all members of the Klaipėdos Licėjus community to join this meaningful initiative and start the new school year with a good deed.
