On March 19, the first day of the 17th student scientific research conference “I Seek. I Explore. I Think” took place at Klaipėda Lyceum

This academic year, second-grade students presented their work: a total of 32 research projects were prepared, supervised by 11 mentors from various subject areas. The projects were presented in three sections: languages and social sciences, natural sciences, and information technology. First-grade students spent the year learning research methodology, how to formulate tasks and objectives, and observed presentations by older students while developing their public speaking skills.

The presentations were attended by first- and second-grade students and their teachers. They noted that many of this year’s projects are related to environmental pollution issues, but a significant new group of projects has also emerged, focusing on the challenges of using artificial intelligence. A total of 12 best projects were selected for the final research conference “I Seek. I Explore. I Think”, which will take place on May 5 at Klaipėda University.

First- and second-grade students at Klaipėda Lyceum participate in research activities. Participation in scientific research encourages cognitive engagement, helps develop logical thinking, fosters independent work skills, teaches how to use academic sources, and promotes adherence to the principles of academic integrity.
