Japanese Language Centre “Seito San” Opens Its Fourth Season

The Japanese Language Centre “Seito San” officially opened its fourth season with a warm and welcoming event filled with creativity, Japanese cultural experiences, and a strong sense of community.

Following welcoming remarks by the centre’s director, Sigitas Benediktas Jurtis, and teacher Iveta Strakšaitė, participants had the opportunity to explore their creativity during washi ningyō (Japanese paper doll) workshops and take part in traditional Japanese-style ozashiki games.

The celebration also welcomed a new symbolic member of the centre’s community – a little bamboo plant. It is hoped that the bamboo will become a symbol of growth, strength, and new ideas. As the traditional Tanabata festival approaches, its branches may soon be decorated with the community’s wishes and dreams.

As the new season begins, “Seito San” invites everyone to explore Japanese culture, visit the centre’s reading room, connect with others, and take part in creating new activities together. This season, special attention will be given to expanding the community and organising regular activities.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us for the season opening and photographer Andrius Pelekauskas for capturing the memorable moments of the event. We wish the “Seito San” community an inspiring, creative, and exciting new season!
