On September 22, representatives of the Lithuanian Debate Centre visited Klaipėda Lyceum to introduce students to a debate show in English. The students learned about the principles of debating and the importance of argumentation, and took part in practical activities that helped them learn to formulate clear arguments and support their opinions with evidence.
Interactive activities encouraged students to look at the same issue from different perspectives, listen to others’ ideas, and respond respectfully to opposing opinions. It was a great opportunity to develop critical thinking, public speaking, and communication skills in English, as well as to gain confidence in expressing their thoughts.
