Tokį iššūkį sau išsikėlė 6 MYP A ir 6 MYP B klasės pasikviesdamos stovyklauti kartu ir praleisti naktį mokykloje Whatansu komandą. Per dviejų dienų stovyklą bendraklasiai formavo šiltesnius santykius, įveikė kliūtis ir parodė, kaip gali veikti tvirtesnė komanda, dovanojo sau bendrą apvienijantį nuotykį.
Su Whatansu visuomet būna kitaip. Mokiniai ieškojo ryšio tarp laisvės pasirinkti ir atsakomybės, analizavo poelgius, jų priežastis ir pasekmes, formavo komandą, stiprino tarpusavio ryšius, augino draugystes, aiškinosi, ugdė pagarbą ir dėkingumą. Žygiavo. Žaidė. Klausė. Svarstė. Lygino. Mėgavosi. Ar ilsėjosi? Tikrai ne. Bet šypsosi. Mokėsi stebėti iš naujo. Džiaugtis. Mylėti. Nesitikėti. Dar – nesistebėti niekuo. Priimti pasaulio dovanas išplėstom akim ir atvirom širdim. Būti. Kartu.
Dėkojame visi: ir mokiniai, ir tėveliai, ir klasės vadovė Areta Whatansu už naują požiūrį, draugiškesnius santykius ir tvirtesnę komandą.
This was the challenge that classes 6 MYP A and 6 MYP B took on as they invited the team of Whatansu to camp together and spend a night at school with them. After a two-day camp the classmates had formed more tender bonds, overcome some challenge and shown the ways in which a more unified team can work, and gave themselves one final joined adventured.
Experiences with Whatansu are always different. The students sought out the connection between the freedom of choice and responsibility, analyzed their actions – their cause and causations, they formed a team, strengthened bonds between each other, nurtured friendships, spoke to each other openly, strengthened their sense of respect and gratitude. They marched. They played. They listened. They contemplated. They compared. They enjoyed themselves. Did they rest? Definitely not. But they smiled. They learned to re-evaluate. To be content. To love. To accept the not-expected. Also – to not be surprised by anything. To accept the gifts of the world with open eyes and open hearts. To be. Together. We wish to thank you all – the students, and the parents, and class teacher Areta – Whatansu brought us a new outlook, more tender relationships and a tighter team.
