More about the Mathematics tournament “How many digits of π do you know?”

The annual Klaipėda Lyceum Mathematics event “How many digits of π do you know?” took place on the 14th of March. This year these secondary-school students decided to try out their skills: G. Pidluznij (Ist secondary-school grade), G. Matulionytė (Ist secondary-school grade), J. Navickaitė (Ist secondary-school grade), N. Radajevaitė (Ist secondary-school grade), A. Butenytė (IInd secondary-school grade), I. Piliutis (IIIrd secondary-school grade), P. Šapoka (IVth secondary-school grade), E. Paulikaitė (IVth secondary-school grade), M. We are proud of each participant who tried to write down as many digits as possible during the tournament. Unfortunately, U. Igaris’ record (he had memorised 380 digits) was left unbroken. We wish to congratulate the competition winner P. Šapoka, who managed to write down 161 digits of the number in the finals.
